Job Description:

Fantastic opportunity for an established Financial Controller or Finance Manager to join an ambitious and growing SaaS business on a part-time basis.

As they scale, they seek a commercially minded Financial Controller to oversee financial management and provide strategic guidance to drive sustainable growth. You will collaborate closely with the Board and senior leadership to ensure financial integrity and align strategies with company goals.

The role

• Track and analyze key KPIs.
• Partner with leadership on pricing models, unit economics, and growth forecasts.
• Provide financial modeling, support for fundraising, and board reporting.
• Prepare and present financial statements, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Lead budgeting, variance analysis, and recommend cost and revenue opportunities.
• Monitor cash flow and develop forecasts.
• Develop and implement financial strategies with senior leadership.
• Ensure tax compliance, manage audits, and stay updated with regulations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Handle monthly payroll, staff benefits, and statutory deductions.
• Implement cost-saving measures and optimize financial systems.
• Deliver financial reports to stakeholders and board, communicating complex data clearly.
• Work with the Executive team to evaluate operations.

The Candidate

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience.
• Alternatively, qualified by experience with sector-relevant 10+ years of experience.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Head of Finance, or Senior Finance Manager, preferably in SaaS or IT/Tech.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and Xero (preferred).
• Comprehensive accounting experience including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
