Job Description:

Fantastic opportunity for an established Financial Controller or Finance Manager to join an ambitious and growing SaaS business on a part-time basis.

As they scale, they are looking for a commercially minded Financial Controller to oversee the company’s financial management and provide strategic financial guidance to help drive sustainable growth. You will collaborate closely with the Board and senior leadership to ensure financial integrity while aligning financial strategies with the company’s goals.

The role

• Track and analyze key KPIs.
• Partner with leadership on pricing models, unit economics, and growth forecasts.
• Provide financial modelling, support for fundraising, and board reporting.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Lead the budgeting process, offer variance analysis, and recommend opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
• Monitor cash flow to maintain liquidity and create short- and long-term cash flow forecasts.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, manage annual audits, and stay updated with evolving financial regulations and best practices.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments and collections.
• Proficient in running monthly payroll, including staff benefits and statutory deductions.
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures to improve profitability.
• Optimize financial systems and reporting tools for greater efficiency and accuracy.
• Deliver clear, actionable financial reports to stakeholders and board members, communicating complex data to enable informed decisions.
• Work closely with the Executive team to evaluate operational performance.

The Candidate

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with significant post-qualified experience.

Qualified by experience will also be considered if the candidate has sector-relevant experience of 10+ years.

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Head of Finance, or Senior Finance Manager, ideally from a SaaS or IT/Tech business.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate with the Board, Senior Leadership teams, and multiple departments.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and Xero (preferred).
• A-Z accounting experience covering budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
