Job Description:

Fantastic opportunity for an established Financial Controller or Finance Manager to join an ambitious and growing SaaS business on a part-time basis.

As they scale, they are seeking a commercially minded Financial Controller to oversee financial management and provide strategic guidance to support sustainable growth. You will collaborate closely with the Board and senior leadership to ensure financial integrity and align strategies with company goals.

The Role

• Track and analyse key KPIs.
• Partner with leadership on pricing models, unit economics, and growth forecasts.
• Provide financial modelling, support for fundraising, and board reporting.
• Prepare and present financial statements, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Lead budgeting, variance analysis, and recommend cost optimizations and revenue growth opportunities.
• Monitor cash flow, create forecasts, and maintain liquidity.
• Develop financial strategies in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Ensure tax compliance, manage audits, and stay updated on regulations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Handle monthly payroll, staff benefits, and statutory deductions.
• Implement cost-saving measures to improve profitability.
• Optimize financial systems and reporting tools.
• Deliver clear financial reports to stakeholders and the board.
• Work with the Executive team to evaluate operations.

The Candidate

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience.

Qualified by experience with sector-relevant background and 10+ years of experience will also be considered.

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Head of Finance, or Senior Finance Manager, preferably in SaaS or IT/Tech sectors.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of collaborating with the Board and multiple departments.
• Proficiency in Excel and preferably Xero.
• Comprehensive accounting experience covering budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
