Financial Controller – Operations

Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a finance leader to drive financial performance at the Hethel site. You will own monthly management accounts, P&L analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations, while supporting budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting across Operations.

You will partner with site leaders to enable commercial decisions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• An accountancy qualification, or significant relevant experience with strong, up-to-date knowledge of accounting and financial principles and practices
• Previous experience working with a manufacturing ERP system
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, risk analysis, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
• Experience identifying and implementing improvements across financial processes
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to demanding deadlines
• SAP experience would be advantageous
• Candidates must be eligible to work in UK without VISA sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Provide financial leadership and support to Operations and the assembly facility at Hethel
• Produce monthly management accounts, including ongoing P&L analysis and full balance sheet reconciliations
• Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
• Provide financial insight for operational and commercial decision-making
• Build relationships with operational business partners and drive continuous improvement
• Develop, monitor and report on key site KPIs
• Establish and improve accounting systems, integrating information from new and existing systems
• Support development of the Operations Performance Review Pack
• Identify and implement improvements to Finance processes and practices
• Provide financial leadership and help develop capability within the wider team
• Work with stakeholders to resolve issues and improve operational performance
• Collaborate with the Head of Operations Finance, site and group operational managers, Group Finance, Finance Director, and wider Operations and Finance teams
