Financial Controller (Derry/Manufacturing)

VANRATH are pleased to be supporting a global manufacturing company based in Derry, renowned for its innovation and delivering high-quality projects With a strong commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, they are currently recruiting for a commercially astute Financial Controller who will be pivotal in driving financial strategy and ensuring our continued success.

The Role:

* Lead and direct a small finance team, including financial and management accounting processes, P&L and Balance Sheet review, and variance analysis.
* Ensure complete financial control is maintained including compliance with applicable GAAP, corporate accounting policy and audit requirements.
* Oversee monthly reporting for site, and communication of results to all stakeholders.
* Oversee the Monthly R&O and quarterly forecasting process.
* Participate in formulating and delivering business strategy.
* Drive business improvement and support this through the provision of accurate and timely financial information, working closely with the cross functional managers.
* Provide support to commercial decision-making processes and business development.
* Provide accurate Machine Costing information.
* Implement cycle counting procedures.
* Ensure annual planning and budgeting process is delivered on time and matched to delivery of strategic objectives.
* Manage the working capital cycle of the business with particular focus on inventory and receivables control and management.
* Provide cash flow analysis.
* Support successful implementation of new IT systems and structures.
* Establish credit limits, resolve disputes, and monitor collections.
* Support and approve all Capex strategy.

About you

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Proven management experience in a commercial environment, ideally within manufacturing
• Significant experience as a financial or business analyst. Operational experience within business / would be advantageous.
• Must have expert Microsoft Office Products experience, specifically with Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Word as well as the ability to learn corporate ERP system.
• Evidence of comfort and familiarity dealing with senior stakeholders.
