Part-time Financial Controller wanted in Lambeth

About the role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Controller to join The Part-Time Finance People, supporting our client in their construction business in London. This rapidly growing company needs a commercially-minded Financial Controller to lead the finance function and provide clearer financial visibility on a part-time basis.

About You:

You should be a qualified and experienced Financial Controller with experience in growing SMEs. Ideally, you are already self-employed, available quickly, and can commit at least 2 days per week.

Your expertise should include:

1. Preparation of management accounts and reports
2. Balance sheet reconciliations
3. Cash flow and profit forecasting
4. Experience with Xero accounting software
5. Assessing and implementing financial controls
6. Commercial experience
7. Year-end processes (excluding statutory accounts)
8. Advanced Excel skills (pivots, sumifs, graphs)
9. Ability to present financial information to non-financial leaders
10. Fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACMA/FCCA/ICAEW) or QBE with 5+ years of experience managing a finance team

Additional details:

This role is for two days a week on a self-employed basis, making it compatible with other client work.

Rate of pay: £38 per hour

Location: Lambeth - 2 days per week
