Job description

Our client, based near St Albans and Hatfield in Hertfordshire, is an acquisitive £30m turnover SME in the Retail, Consumer Goods, Technology and Manufacturing sector and has an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant to join as Financial Controller.

This is a newly created role due to the growth of the business. Reporting to the MD and a part time Finance Director, the role has excellent growth opportunities and obvious progression.

Both hands-on and forward-looking, this Financial Controller role will include:

• Provision of management information to the Board
• Management of a finance team of three staff
• Month-end group reporting and management accounting
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Working capital management / FX issues
• Development of systems and controls
• Oversee year-end and audit
• Liaising with banks and external advisors
• Ad hoc involvement in projects and acquisitions
