Job description

You will report to the Finance Director, focusing on Peter's Yard financials, processes, reporting, and cross-group projects. Your main responsibilities include:

• Management, control, forecasting, and reporting of the business finances.
• Full P&L and Balance Sheet responsibility, supported by a GL Accountant.
• Month-end close for Peter's Yard, including accruals, prepayments, and reporting.
• Commercial, operational, and overall business performance reporting.
• Costing and yield analysis for bakery suppliers.
• Budgeting and forecasting with stakeholder input.
• Providing insight and analysis as a key business partner to the Managing Director and leadership team.
• Profitability analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Audit coordination for Peter's Yard.

Group Natural Foods UK responsibilities include:

• Creating tools for demand planning to financial views.
• Participating in SAP S/4HANA testing to ensure system fit.
• Supporting group projects to align tools and processes across businesses.
• Assisting team members during busy periods.

Profile

We are looking for a fully qualified accountant with:

• A bachelor's degree in an analytical or finance-related field from a reputable university.
• Strong Excel skills, including data management, analysis, and forecasting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and recommend actions.
• Experience with month-end closing and reporting.
• Project management experience from start to finish.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build relationships.
• An agile mindset, capable of handling various tasks and supporting the finance team.
• Experience with SAP is preferred.
