Get Recruited are recruiting an Interim Finance Director/Senior Financial Controller to join a FCA regulated business in Paisley on an initial 6-month contract, with PAYE, directly employed. The role demands strong leadership over a functional finance team and hands-on financial management.

The successful candidate will oversee monthly management accounts, year-end processes, budgeting, cash flow, statutory reporting and external auditors, bringing robust governance and strategic insight.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA/CGMA).
• Experience as Finance Director, Financial Controller or senior finance role, ideally in FCA environment.
• Experience with Workday Financial Management and Sage preferred.
• Proven experience managing and developing finance teams.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience overseeing management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
• understanding statutory accounting, taxation and compliance.
• Confident communicating with senior stakeholders and external advisers.
• Able to work independently, take ownership and make decisions.
• Available to start immediately or on short notice.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Get Recruited are recruiting for an experienced Interim Finance Director / Senior Financial Controller to join an FCA regulated business based in Paisley on an initial 6-month contract, on PAYE, directly employed.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional who can hit the ground running, take ownership of an established finance function and provide strong financial leadership throughout the interim period.

The successful candidate will be confident managing a finance team, overseeing financial reporting and controls, and working independently in a senior finance capacity.

This is a hands‑on position requiring strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent leadership skills

THE INTERIM FINANCE DIRECTOR / SENIOR FINANCIAL CONTROLLER ROLE:

• As Finance Director / Financial Controller, you'll take responsibility for the management and leadership of the finance team, which are 3 direct reports who handle the transactional finance tasks
• Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.

THE PERSON:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA/CGMA).
• Previous experience as a Finance Director, Financial Controller, Head of Finance or in a similar senior finance position, ideally from a professional services or regulated FCA environment.
• Ideally experience using both Workday Financial Management and Sage.
• Proven experience managing and developing finance teams.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience overseeing management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
• Sound understanding of statutory accounting, taxation and financial compliance.
• Confident communicating with senior stakeholders and external advisers.
• Able to work independently, take ownership and make decisions.
• Comfortable working in a hands‑on interim finance role.
