Financial Controller (Exclusive/Belfast/4 day week)

VANRATH is delighted to be working exclusively with an innovative and scaling business at the forefront of their industry to recruit a commercially astute Financial Controller. The company is renowned for its innovation and commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy and managing the finance team’s day-to-day operations.

The Role:

  1. Lead and manage a small finance team, overseeing financial and management accounting processes, P&L and Balance Sheet review, and variance analysis.
  2. Prepare consolidated accounts for presentation to the Board and senior stakeholders.
  3. Oversee monthly reporting and communicate results to all stakeholders.
  4. Drive business improvements through accurate and timely financial information.
  5. Support commercial decision-making and business development efforts.
  6. Ensure the timely delivery of the annual planning and budgeting process aligned with strategic objectives.
  7. Manage the audit process and handle tax queries.

About you

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 4-5 years of PQE in a senior finance role.
  • Proven management experience in a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders.
