Financial Controller (Exclusive/15 month FTC)

VANRATH are delighted to be working in partnership with a dynamic business to recruit a commercially astute Financial Controller for a 15 month fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity. Reporting to the Finance Director this is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key role within a fast paced diverse business.

What you'll do
  • Supervise day-to-day accounting operations for a small high performing finance team
  • Review monthly management accounts for a number of entities within the group.
  • Provide P&L variance analysis against budgets, acquisition models and prior years, demonstrating an understanding of the business
  • Budgeting and forecasting, develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts and maintain company cashflows.
  • Coordinate and prepare monthly reporting packs for investors and stakeholders
  • Oversee annual audit process for multiple groups, liaising with audit partner and manager, ensuring compliance with audit standards and reviewing the final audited financial statements.
  • Liaise with external tax consultants to ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
About you
  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior financial management role.
  • Proven experience in management reporting, financial reporting, budgeting, and managing audits
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to present and work closely with senior stakeholders
