SLR have a compelling opportunity for an experienced financial controller to join our European Finance team in a key leadership role.

Our European region consists of circa 25 legal entities of varying sizes and complexities. You will be joining the team at a time of great transformation to deliver a high class and efficient service. The European region is a fast-paced business which delivers growth both organically and by acquisitions.

This is a hybrid-working opportunity based from our London, Bristol or Bradford-on-Avon offices.

The role

Along with responsibility for all financial reporting across the Europe region, the role will also involve:

  1. Responsibility for the preparation of cash forecasting and management across the region including accounts payable
  2. Liaising with 3rd parties, such as auditors, bankers etc.
  3. Assisting in driving efficient and automated processes
  4. Supporting Finance Director with ad-hoc projects
  5. Supporting Group Finance with initiatives that they drive
  6. Supporting with integrating acquired entities into SLR reporting structures
  7. Managing 3 direct reports and 9 further indirect reports
  8. Offering financial expertise to other areas of finance such as Credit and Invoicing where required
  9. Helping to support system updates and improvements

About you

We are looking for an excellent accountant who is used to working in an evolving, fast-paced environment, has a positive, solution-driven attitude and isn't afraid to roll their sleeves up. You will need to have experience working in either a high-growth or PE environment in an international business and have built or grown teams in a previous role.
