Job summary

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd in Nantwich is seeking a Financial Controller to join on a permanent basis. You'll lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans for the site, and produce accurate monthly management accounts with variance analysis.

You'll manage a small finance team, drive cost control, commercial insight and ROIs, while maintaining robust controls and supporting audits.

Qualifications

ACCA or CIMA qualification required.
Strong experience in engineering finance or cost accounting.
Strong ERP and Excel experience.
Experience leading a small finance team.
Commercial mindset with ability to turn data into insight.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans for the site.
Produce monthly management accounts, reporting packs and variance analysis.
Monitor costs, standard costing, inventory valuation, labour efficiency and overhead absorption.
Partner with site leadership to support operational and strategic decisions.
Identify financial risks, opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
Manage capital expenditure reporting and ROI analyses.
Support product, customer and margin analysis to inform pricing.
Coordinate internal and external audit activity and year-end reporting.
Work with production, supply chain and engineering to improve inventory accuracy.
