The Role

We are looking for a Performance Controller who acts as a Business Partner for our business in UK & Ireland. Our motivated and focused Controllers at RWE Renewables Europe & Australia work across 9 countries in Europe, providing financial services for operational assets and projects under development and construction. Responsibilities

  • Support our growth in Onshore, Solar, and Storage in the UK & Ireland during development and construction by setting up, interpreting, and analyzing financial and operational KPIs, and presenting results to management.
  • Take responsibility for business planning and forecasting, including deviation analysis and developing comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
  • Regularly report on operational performance and conduct ad-hoc analyses.
  • Act as a financial business partner to support and challenge the business, identify best practices, and trends to ensure success.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships within Renewables and the wider RWE group, including operational teams, accounting, tax, legal, and finance.
  • Develop and improve planning and controlling tools, focusing on automation and digitalization.
  • Implement and refine processes to ensure efficient workflows, adhering to the principle "work smarter, not harder."

Requirements

  • Excellent university degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Proven experience in controlling, subsidiary management, or finance.
  • Knowledge of the European energy market and regulations, especially in UK & Ireland, is desirable.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data clearly.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and intercultural skills for effective cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Reliable, flexible team player with good self-organization and commitment.
  • Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO/BI) and MS Office.
  • Familiarity with IFRS; knowledge of UK and Irish GAAP is a plus.
