Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA certification.
• Strong experience in financial control and management accounting.
• Hands-on with month-end closing and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Experience supporting external audits and creating supporting schedules.
• Proven ability to coach and review finance staff.
• Advanced Excel and ERP/reporting system proficiency.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close, including journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and balance sheet control.
• Manage intercompany accounting, investigate variances and resolve items.
• Coordinate external audits and act as main audit contact.
• Prepare statutory and year-end financial reporting.
• Produce monthly management accounts with variance analysis.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with analysis and insights.
• Develop and mentor junior finance staff.
• Maintain hands-on day-to-day accounting activities and analysis.
• Oversee payables, receivables, cash allocation and credit control.
• Strengthen financial controls and improve processes.
• Utilise ERP and reporting tools to improve data quality.
• Partner with stakeholders to support decision-making.
• Support cash flow reporting and treasury activities.
