Financial Controller | Salford, Manchester | £65,000 - £75,000 + 10% bonus

Axon Moore is exclusively working on an exciting recruitment opportunity for a first-time Financial Controller to join a £55m turnover engineering/construction business recently acquired by a PLC.

Reporting to the Finance Director and collaborating with the Senior Leadership team, the Head of Finance is a high-performing, technically skilled finance professional dedicated to supporting an efficient and compliant finance function.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Own overall financial management; measure, analyse, and lead on all financial performance and compliance aspects.
2. Lead the preparation of monthly financial and management accounts, reporting, and annual statutory financial statements.
3. Support and coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts with the Senior Leadership Team in line with the Business Plan.
4. Partner with operations and commercial teams to monitor weekly job costs and challenge job performance.
5. Lead the annual audit process, ensuring its smooth continuation.
6. Provide financial input into tenders and business proposals.
