Job description

Milestone is a Leicestershire-based contractor offering civil, electrical and mechanical engineering, plus in-house steel fabrication and installation work across the UK. We work with leading clients in the telecoms, solar, EV and digital media industries. Our flexible approach may entail providing a bespoke service or acting as a contractor in specific, specialist delivery areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out monthly stock take and work in progress valuations, including stock journaling and reporting. Incorporate future requirements for ERP support on this process.
  • Responsible for all aspects of balance sheet management, including Tax Returns (VAT, PAYE, CT), Credit Control, Accounts Payable and Project Work in Progress.
  • Deliver financial and operational insight through monthly reporting to RSK, KPIs and Management Accounting.
  • Implement and maintain a strong set of internal controls, with a particular focus on managing working capital and revenue recognition.
  • Work collaboratively with the Commercial, Delivery and Operational teams to increase financial opportunity on client management process, optimising project terms e.g. Contractual and financial agreements.
  • Support the Head of Procurement on supplier strategy including contractual and financial terms and conditions.
Requirements:
  • Proven working experience in the financial sector.
  • Background of managing financial accounts to optimise performance.
  • Experience of implementing areas for improvement.
  • Producing financial terms and conditions.
Salary and Benefits:
  • Salary up to £70,000 DOE
  • Hybrid working available - 3 days in the office
