Financial Controller - 2 Days Office - Membership Organisation

Are you an experienced Financial Controller? Do you have experience leading a finance team and implementing ERP / Finance Systems? Role: Financial Controller, Head of Finance, Finance Manager (reporting to CFO)

Location: Green Park / Mayfair - London (2 days a week)

Salary: Up to £80K (35-hour week), 8% Pension, Life, Health Plan, 23 days holiday rising to 27

The role:

1. Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO and senior leadership, providing insightful analysis to guide decision-making and performance.
2. Lead the end-to-end finance operations: budgeting, forecasting, month- and year-end close, cash flow, audits, and compliance.
3. Oversee the rollout of a new finance system, identifying automation opportunities and enhancing reporting tools.
4. Own risk management and internal controls, ensuring full statutory and fiduciary compliance.
5. Develop financial dashboards and performance reports to drive operational improvement.
6. Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, embedding a culture of commercial awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement.

You:

1. Experience in a Finance Controller or similar senior role
2. Fully qualified accountant with strong technical accounting knowledge
3. Experience in an accounting practice
4. Experience supporting systems implementation (ERP/Finance) e.g., Netsuite, MS Dynamics, including preparation for cut-over
5. Managing a finance team of approximately 5+
6. Understanding of accounting requirements, audit, and risk management
7. Excellent business partnering skills working with senior stakeholders
