Job summary

Guidant Global, in partnership with Airbus, seeks a Financial Controller to support UK FMRE and EHS activities, focusing on the Belfast operation. You will be the finance lead across OPEX/CAPEX, delivering insightful reports and robust cost analysis for senior stakeholders.

Based in the UK, this role requires strong analytical capability, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to drive performance improvements within a growing aerospace environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience within Finance, Accounting, Financial Control or Business Controlling.
  • Strong analytical skills with the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence decision-making.
  • Ability to interpret large volumes of financial data and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships across diverse teams.
  • Experience working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, delivery-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to switch between strategic thinking and detailed financial analysis.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within international teams.
  • Fluency in English; French and/or German language skills would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the finance representative and key link between the business and the wider finance function.
  • Deliver financial reporting across operational expenditure (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAPEX) activities.
  • Provide detailed cost analysis, identifying trends, risks, opportunities and performance gaps.
  • Support planning activities across the full FMRE and EHS cost base, including forecasts and operational planning.
  • Develop financial models to support facilities, environmental and capital investment projects.
  • Monitor and challenge expenditure, ensuring procured services and utilities remain aligned to budget and business targets.
  • Support strategic business initiatives, including integration and transformation programmes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial processes, controls and governance requirements.
  • Drive performance improvement through meaningful financial insight and recommendations.
  • Coordinate corrective actions and mitigation plans where required to support effective decision-making.
  • Produce timely, accurate and valuable financial reporting that supports operational and leadership teams.

Hourly Rate: £37.91 Umbrella / £28.34 PAYE
Hours: 35 hours per week, working 4.5 days
Security Clearance: BPSS+ (completed by Airbus Security)

Shape Financial Performance for a Growing Airbus Operation

Guidant Global is partnering with Airbus to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to support Facilities Management, Real Estate (FMRE) and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) activities across the UK, with a particular focus on the expanding Belfast operation.
This is an excellent opportunity to become a trusted Finance Business Partner within a highly collaborative, international environment. Working closely with operational leaders and supported by a dedicated transversal finance team, you will provide financial insight, challenge business decisions constructively, and help deliver key financial objectives across a diverse portfolio of projects and operational activities.

What You'll Be Doing
