Job summary

Morson Edge on behalf of a leading global aerospace and defence company is recruiting a Financial Controller to join the UK Finance organisation in Broughton. You will act as the Finance Business Partner for FMRE and EHS teams, providing financial insight and challenging performance to help achieve targets.

You will lead OPEX and CAPEX reporting, support planning, forecasting and modelling, monitor costs and analyse variances, driving continuous improvement and business decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in Finance, Accounting or Business Controlling.
• Strong analytical skills for high volumes of data.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication.
• Confident challenging financial performance when needed.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage priorities.
• Team player adaptable to different stakeholders.
• English essential; French/German advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as the key Finance contact for all financial matters across UK teams.
• Provide financial reporting and analysis for OPEX and CAPEX.
• Support planning, forecasting and business modelling for FMRE and EHS projects.
• Monitor procured costs against financial targets.
• Analyse performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Recommend corrective actions to support decision-making.
• Drive financial performance and continuous improvement.
• Support the Spirit Post Merger Integration Project.
• Ensure Finance processes and compliance requirements are followed.

Rate: £37.91 per hour Umbrella

About the Role

Morson are recruiting on behalf of a leading global aerospace and defence company for an experienced Financial Controller to join their Finance organisation in Broughton.

You will act as the Finance Business Partner for the FMRE and EHS teams in the UK, working closely with senior management to provide financial insight, challenge performance and ensure financial targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the key Finance contact for all financial matters across the Belfast/UK teams.
• Provide financial reporting and analysis across OPEX and CAPEX.
• Support financial planning, forecasting and business modelling for FMRE and EHS projects.
• Monitor procured costs against financial targets, including services and utilities.
• Analyse performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying risks, opportunities and discrepancies.
• Recommend corrective and mitigation actions to support business decision-making.
• Drive financial performance and continuous improvement.
• Support the Spirit Post Merger Integration Project.
• Ensure Finance processes and compliance requirements are consistently followed.

About You

• Experience in Finance, Accounting or Business Controlling.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage high volumes of financial data.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Confident challenging and questioning financial performance where required.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
• Strong team player with the ability to adapt to different stakeholders.
• Able to switch between detailed financial analysis and the wider business picture.
• English is essential; French and/or German would be advantageous.
