Job: Financial Controller

Job Description:

  • Apply Group Policies related to Equal Opportunities, Environment, Health & Safety and Quality.
  • Prepare and monitor the operating budget, co-ordinating between the different Plant Departments.
  • Control the Plant Annual Investment Plan (AIP) (contracts, amounts contracted...) and carry out investment profitability studies.
  • Define indicators for monitoring the activity and monitor their implementation.
  • Supervise and coordinate the processes of budgetary control and monitoring of action plans.
  • Define and calculate standard costs (hourly rates, raw material, costs ...) and control updating of all the variables that depend on other departments and that are necessary in order to prepare the tariffs and pricing/quotations.
  • Analyse the customer risks and make the necessary decisions in each case.
  • Analyze profitability by customer and by product.
  • To draw up and follow the training plans for his/her direct reports.
  • To encourage and help in the development of his/her team.
  • Prepare the annual performance assessment and define the action plan to be followed.
  • Ensure compliance of internal regulations of SAICA Pack in the Plant.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, labour, accounting regulations, etc.
  • Manage company insurance policies.
  • Preparation of Management accounts, balance sheets and cash flows.
  • Liaise with Internal and External Auditors and ensure appropriate information is provided on a timely basis.
  • Forecast future P&L performance.
  • Monitor main current spends vs Budget on a weekly basis.
  • Leading a robust forecasting process with the wider business to manage future decisions.
  • Demonstrating exceptional attention to detail to deliver timely group reporting requirements.
