Financial Controller (Clear Progression to Finance Director)
Simpson Judge are exclusively partnered with a leading SME seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team. This role offers a clear progression path to Finance Director and will be key in shaping and executing the company's financial strategy, providing an excellent opportunity for growth.
Location: Office-based role, within commutable distance from Warrington, Runcorn, St Helens, and Knowsley
Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 plus a company car/car allowance and bonus
- Collaborate with the Executive team to develop and implement the company's financial strategy, supporting overall business objectives and promoting financial stability and growth.
- Lead the preparation of forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans; provide detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the creation of financial reports for stakeholders including the Managing Director, Board members, and external parties such as investors and auditors.
- Manage cash flow and working capital effectively, implementing strategies to optimise liquidity and reduce financial risks.
- Drive cost control initiatives, enhance operational efficiencies, and identify opportunities to increase profitability.
- Analyze market trends and regulatory changes to deliver strategic insights affecting financial operations.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement aligned with business goals.
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications, with ideally 5 years of post-qualified experience.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller within an SME environment.
- Experience in the telecoms industry is advantageous but not essential.
