Financial Controller

We have an exceptional opportunity to join our Finance Team at The Lanesborough.

Awarded No. 1 Hotel in London in the Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards, on the doorstep of Hyde Park, just a short walk from Harrods, Harvey Nichols and London's most exclusive shopping district; Sloane Street and Knightsbridge, this grand luxury mansion has undergone an inspired renovation by the famed interior designer Alberto Pinto. Candidate Profile

As Financial Controller, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the smooth and compliant operation of the Finance department. Acting as deputy to the Director of Finance, you will manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audits, while maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, owners, and external partners. You will also support the development of the Finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Key Requirements
  • Strong background in luxury hotel finance, with expertise across credit control, cost management, and income audit.
  • Confident in deputising for senior leadership and engaging with owners and external partners.
  • Deep understanding of financial compliance, reporting, and audit standards.
  • Commercially minded with proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis.
  • Highly organised, able to coordinate multiple finance functions with precision.
  • Clear communicator, adept at resolving billing, commission, and reconciliation queries.
  • Inspirational leader with a passion for team development and onboarding.
