Descripción del empleo

Are you a qualified Finance Manager or Financial Controller with strong accounting fundamentals, a real appetite for technology and AI, and the people skills to manage a small team and work with people across the business? Ready to step up and take ownership of the numbers? Do you want a varied role in a growing business, where finance is at the heart of the decisions?

Full Vision is a fast-growing exhibition, signage and event build business working on some of the biggest shows in Europe, the US and the UK. We are looking for a Financial Controller, reporting to our CFO, to own the month-end close and reporting across our UK and Spanish companies, manage the day-to-day work of the finance team, and make sure what we report is right.

We are also changing how finance works, using new tools and technology, including AI, to take on the routine work, so our team spends more of its time on checking, judgement and insight.

About You

If the following sounds like you, read on.

  • Strong fundamentals – You know the core accounting inside out, so you can review, check and challenge with confidence and know when something isn't right
  • A supportive manager – You communicate clearly, support and develop the people you manage, and bring them with you. They trust you and grow with you
  • Accuracy – You care that the numbers are right, and you know how to prove it
  • Ownership – You take responsibility for deadlines and controls, and fix the cause of a problem, not just the symptom
  • Commercial insight – You are curious about the story behind the numbers and can explain it in plain English to people who are not accountants
  • Excited by technology and AI – You use new tools willingly, look for ways to automate routine work, and help your team do the same
About the Role

Reporting to our CFO, you will be responsible for the accounting and reporting across a group with companies in the UK and Spain, and manage a small team of 2 day to day. This is a varied, hands-on role that goes well beyond the monthly accounts: you will be involved in cash flow management, show budgets and profitability, VAT and tax compliance, and improving processes and controls across the business.

Success in your first year looks like:
  • A month-end close that runs on time, with every balance reconciled and reviewed
  • Management accounts for the UK, Spain and the group that the board can rely on
  • A confident, well-supported team that is developing and working more efficiently
  • Effective support to the CFO on cash flow, with a cash forecast that is kept up to date and can be relied on
  • VAT and tax compliance in the UK and Spain running smoothly, on time and correct
  • Show budgets and profitability reporting that our project teams use
  • Routine month-end work automated, with the team using AI tools confidently
  • A close working partnership with the CFO, and strong working relationships across the business, with our accountants and with our advisers in Spain
To achieve this, you will:
  • Run the month-end close for our UK and Spanish companies and the group
  • Review and sign off reconciliations, prepayments, accruals and journals
  • Produce the monthly management accounts and support the CFO with board reporting
  • Keep the cash forecast up to date and support the CFO on cash, funding and banking
  • Work with project and operations teams on show budgets, costing and profitability
  • Oversee VAT returns and tax compliance, including intercompany and Spain, with our advisers
  • Manage, support and develop a team of 2 day to day
  • Work with our accountants on the year-end accounts
  • Improve processes and controls, including purchase orders and job costing
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Strong accounting fundamentals across reconciliations, accruals, VAT and month-end, with the confidence to review others' work
  • Typically 3+ years' post-qualification experience in industry, currently as a Finance Manager or Financial Controller
  • Experience of running or leading the month-end close and producing management accounts and reporting
  • Proven experience of managing, supporting and developing a finance team
  • A genuine interest in technology and AI, and evidence of using it to improve how finance works
  • Excellent communication skills, with finance and non-finance colleagues
  • The right to work in the UK, and able to work from our office in Takeley 5 days a week
Advantageous Criteria
  • Multi-company, multi-currency or overseas (ideally Spanish) entity experience
  • Project, event or job-costed businesses
  • Experience of introducing new systems, automation or AI tools
About Us

Full Vision was founded in 2016 and, 10 years on, is a leading provider of exhibition graphics, signage, modular stands and event build. We deliver work for major show organisers across the UK, Europe and North America, from our headquarters in Takeley, Essex, and our production and project hub in Valencia, Spain. We are a fast-growing team of over 50 people.

We print, build and install in-house, and our teams work on some of the largest exhibitions and events in the calendar, often to tight deadlines.

Our Culture

We say yes when others can't, and we are proud of what we deliver. We are growing, investing in new production capacity and in the systems behind the business, and we welcome people who bring ideas to improve how we work. It is a friendly, supportive place to work, where everyone is pulling in the same direction to build a brilliant business with huge potential. We make time to enjoy it together too, with company-wide get-togethers through the year and plenty going on socially in the office.

Your Team

You will join the finance, travel and office team led by Kim, our CFO, reporting to him and managing a small team of 2 day to day. A big part of the role is working with people across the business: our operations, project management and commercial teams, and our colleagues in Spain.

This is an office-based role at our headquarters in Takeley, a few minutes from Stansted Airport and the M11, working 8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. There will be occasional travel to our team in Valencia.

  • Free on-site parking
  • Employee benefits and discounts through BrightHR

You must have the right to work in the UK. We do not provide visa sponsorship or relocation support.
