Delta Hotels by Marriott Swansea invites an experienced Financial Controller to lead the hotel’s finance function, ensuring robust controls, accurate reporting and strategic financial guidance.

You’ll oversee Income Audit, Accounts Payable/Receivable, General Ledger, budgeting, forecasting and audit processes while partnering with operations to drive profitability and informed decision-making.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and manage the hotel's Finance Team, providing direction, coaching and development to ensure a high-performing finance function.
• Oversee all financial operations, including Income Audit, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Cashiering and General Ledger processes.
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity and timely completion of daily, weekly and monthly financial reporting.
• Prepare, review and analyse monthly Profit & Loss statements, balance sheet reconciliations and management accounts.
• Maintain a strong control environment, ensuring compliance with Marriott standards, company policies, statutory requirements and financial governance best practices.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital and credit control processes to support the financial health of the business.
• Partner with department leaders across the hotel to provide financial insights, analysis and recommendations that drive performance and profitability.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, regular forecasting activities and long-term financial planning.
• Identify risks and opportunities through detailed financial analysis and support the development of commercial strategies.
• Ensure all concession, third-party and interfaced revenue streams are accurately reconciled and reported.
• Manage internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance and effective follow-up of audit findings.
• Support the Executive Committee and hotel leadership team by translating financial information into meaningful business insights.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems, processes and controls.
• Ensure the hotel achieves and maintains Marriott audit, compliance and performance standards.
• Act as a key business partner to the General Manager and senior leadership team, providing financial guidance and strategic support to achieve business objectives.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a commercially astute finance professional who combines strong technical accounting expertise with leadership capability and business partnering skills.

You'll Ideally Have

• Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Assistant Director of Finance, Director of Finance, Finance Manager or a similar senior finance leadership role.
• A recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) or active progression towards qualification.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and internal controls.
• Experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• The ability to influence stakeholders and communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences.
• Experience working with financial systems, reporting tools and hotel finance operations.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• A proactive, commercially focused mindset with a commitment to driving business performance.
• Previous hospitality, hotel or leisure industry experience is highly desirable.
