Job description

Our client, a boutique practice/outsourced provider for the recruitment sector, are looking for a proactive Financial Controller to manage their finance team and ensure all finance operations run smoothly. This role involves being the number 2 in the business, onboarding new clients, managing a team, and being hands-on with day-to-day finances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Onboard new clients and learn their processes.
  • Manage a team of 5 and upskill, ensuring all accounts are completed to client SLAs and payroll deadlines are met.
  • Assist the team in completing board packs and year-end accounts.
  • Collaborate with clients; accountants to produce year-end accounts.
  • Oversee facilities management of the office.
  • Run 13-week cashflows for all clients and manage client banking.
  • Attend client meetings as required.
  • Be hands-on with management accounts, payroll, credit control, etc. when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant or equivalent experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Recruitment experience or experience in a similar environment is desired.
