Job Overview

The JCB Academy is a unique academy with two main business units, each with different funding streams. One offers specialised pathways for 13-19 learners with a passion for engineering and business, the other is a training provider delivering engineering apprenticeship programmes from level 2 to level 4. We are seeking a qualified accountant with significant experience in financial management to join our senior leadership team. You will provide strategic financial planning and budgetary control, enabling the academy to achieve its annual targets, safeguard its assets and deliver value for money. You will need to be a natural leader with demonstrable business and financial acumen and the ability to analyse financial issues, interpret complex information and offer sound, reliable professional advice. Whilst not essential, experience of working in the education sector, ideally within an academy trust, is desirable. As well as leading the Finance Team, you will also oversee support services relating to admissions applications, marketing, communications and events.
