Your new company

Hays is delighted to represent a long-standing client in Moray to support their recruitment for a Financial Controller. This locally established, nationally recognized organization is a market leader providing services across the country. They seek an experienced finance professional interested in people management for a permanent, full-time role.

Your new role

You will be a key member of the finance team, managing daily and monthly operations of the transactional finance team. Responsibilities include reviewing accounts payable and credit control tasks, ledger management, identifying discrepancies, and providing commentary and analysis on final accounts for non-financial stakeholders. You will work closely with the Finance Director on finance tasks, supporting business partnering and ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

What you'll need to succeed

You should have a solid understanding of transactional finance and experience managing a growing team. The role suits someone interested in a varied finance and people management position, CA qualified or qualified by experience, seeking career progression. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for managing queries from financial and non-financial stakeholders.
