Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially astute Financial Controller to join a well-established professional services business based in Norwich city centre. This is a pivotal role that will lead the finance function and directly support the strategic direction of the business.

You will report to the CEO and work closely with all departments, providing key financial insight to help drive operational and strategic decisions. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, varied environment and is confident working with complex, multi-entity accounts.

Key responsibilities:

Preparation of statutory annual accounts for multiple entities, including consolidated accounts

Full cash flow forecasting and management

Annual budgeting and service charge budget reconciliation

Corporate tax compliance and VAT

Financial due diligence for acquisitions and refinancing

Financial modelling and business plan development for new opportunities

Oversight of loan compliance, insurance, and company secretarial matters

Management and development of the finance team

Business partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) - qualified by experience considered

Strong knowledge of FRS102 and experience producing consolidated accounts

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and SAGE Line 50

Experience in both industry and practice is advantageous

Comfortable leading a team and presenting financials to senior stakeholders
