Job description

OM Search Consultants is working with a fantastic Manufacturing business in the Northamptonshire region. Due to their recent growth, they now require a Financial Controller to work closely with & support the Finance Director.

This is a great role for an experienced, "hands-on" Finance Professional who thrives in a fast-paced and growing environment. As the Financial Controller, you will oversee businesses within the portfolio & manage the financial aspects of each company, ensuring compliance, accurate reporting, and effective financial management.

Requirements

As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of monthly accounts & year-end.
  • Financial Reporting - Preparing and presenting financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) for each company, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting - Developing and managing budgets and forecasts for each company, monitoring performance against targets.
  • Identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, providing insights to support investment decisions.
  • Establishing and maintaining internal controls to prevent fraud, minimize errors, and ensure data accuracy.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating financial risks specific to each company within the portfolio.
  • Ensuring compliance with external reporting requirements and liaising with external auditors.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicating financial information to the senior leadership team, investors, and other relevant stakeholders.
Skills
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and auditing.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving & Excel skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate financial information to various stakeholders.
Qualifications

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
