Morgan McKinley is partnering with a highly dynamic, multi-site business to recruit an ambitious and talented Financial Controller.

Financial Controller: Northampton: £85,000 - £95,000 (dependent on experience) plus excellent benefits.

In this role, you will report to the CFO, managing all areas of financial control, ensuring efficient month-end processes, and responsible for monthly board reporting. You will have the autonomy to implement new technologies and optimize existing software and processes.

Role

The Financial Controller will lead the accounting function, develop your team, and support the CFO.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing the accounting team (management and financial accounts).
• Owning the month-end board reports.
• Overseeing consolidated statutory accounts.
• Managing monthly provisions for the business.
• Leading the year-end financial audit.
• Handling ad hoc investor requests and reporting.
• Deputising for the CFO as needed.

Profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA), ideally trained in practice.
• Strong communication skills — able to assert and support the Board and Investors.
• Technical and commercial acumen.
• Proficient in Excel.
