We are supporting a local SME engineering company who have a current turnover of £2.5 million with the recruitment of a Financial Controller. This will be a maternity cover contract for a minimum of one year with a view to become permanent after the contract, they are looking for someone to start asap. Recently they have relocated to the Mansfield area as part of plans to extend and strengthen their business.
Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for all aspects of financial accounts using the sage system.
Duties for the Financial Controller
• Maintaining sales and purchase ledger
• Bank and financial reconciliation
• Petty cash
• Working closely with the MD on cash flow forecasts
• Monthly management accounts
• Liaising with external accountancy practice
• Producing weekly aged debtors
The successful Financial Controller will need the following skills and experience
• Previous experience in a similar role is required
• Must be a self-starter and able to work to strict deadlines
• Sage experience is essential
