Job summary

A recruitment agency in Manchester is seeking an AAT Qualified (Level 4) accountant to manage accounts, payroll, and regulatory requirements. Candidates should have strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, and excellent communication abilities. This role requires at least 2 years of post-qualification experience, with knowledge of Quickbooks advantageous.

Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including reconciliation of all Balance Sheet items and various P&L accounts

1. Prepare, reconcile & submit quarterly VAT Returns via MTD
2. Manage, prepare and submit monthly payroll (including RTI)
3. Allocation of all bank transactions
4. Preparation of all journals (including accruals & prepayments)
5. Oversee all sales & purchase ledger transactions - including all credit control functions
6. Acting as the first point of contact with suppliers for questions, support & issues
7. Reconciling supplier statements
8. Assist in preparation of annual budgets and any other reports as requested by the Finance Director
9. Liaise with external bodies, such as auditors/banks etc
10. Ensure that all regulatory requirements of all relevant statutory bodies are met
