Job summary

Diecast Republic Group in Manchester seeks a commercially minded Financial Controller to own the finance function across multiple high-volume venues. You will lead reporting, cash management, budgeting, forecasting and compliance, while supervising the accounts team and supporting the senior leadership with strategic insight.

You will partner with venue managers and the founders to improve profitability, implement strong controls and scalable finance processes during growth and new ventures.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver monthly management accounts with full balance-sheet integrity, insightful commentary and KPI analysis.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of financial controls, processes and reporting frameworks.
  • Produce budgets, reforecasts and scenario modelling to support strategic planning.
  • Own the year-end process, including audit preparation, tax planning and liaison with external auditors.
  • Oversee weekly performance reporting, identifying trends, risks and opportunities, and recommending corrective action.
  • Conduct venue audits to ensure compliance, accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Provide financial modelling and due diligence for acquisitions, funding, disposals and new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with venue managers and the senior leadership team to improve profitability and operational performance.
  • Manage cash-flow forecasting, weekly payment runs and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of presales, EPOS takings, PDQ receipts and cash banking.
  • Oversee statutory returns, including VAT, FEU, MGD and National Statistics submissions.
  • Oversee payroll processing and reconciliation.
  • Support and develop the Accounts Assistant and work closely with purchase ledger colleagues.
  • Ensure all venue paperwork is completed accurately, consistently and on time.
  • Build effective working relationships across finance, operations, venues and senior leadership.
  • Deliver high-quality financial analysis to support business decisions.
  • Lead or support operational improvement initiatives across the group.
  • Help develop scalable finance systems and processes as Diecast Republic Group expands.
  • Contribute to the financial planning and launch of new venues and future joint-venture projects.

Location: Manchester — Diecast Republic Group venues Diecast, IDRA, Ramona & The Firehouse
Reports to: Finance Manager / Finance Director
Direct reports: Accounts Assistant x 1
Hours: 9am–6pm, with flexibility required around trading peaks

Role Overview

We are seeking a commercially minded Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function for a number of high-volume entertainment and hospitality venues within the Diecast Republic Group, Diecast, Ramona & The Firehouse and IDRA.

This is a high-impact role at the heart of a fast-paced, multi-venue operation. You will help shape financial performance, strengthen controls and provide clear commercial insight to the senior operations team and founders.

You will lead on financial reporting, cash management, budgeting, forecasting, compliance and business analysis, ensuring the company has accurate and timely information to support confident decision-making and sustainable growth. You will also assist with the supervision of purchase ledger staff, ensuring ledgers are closed accurately and on time, and support Credit Control in collecting monies promptly and minimising bad debt.

Key Responsibilities
Financial leadership and reporting
