Job description

Overview

Neuberger Berman is looking for a Financial Controller to take responsibility for the financial oversight of a key EMEA operating entity.

Responsibilities:

Regulatory

Ownership of regulatory reporting and filings from a finance perspective

Business Support

Production of Board level and business level management reporting. Onboarding new products and partnering with Fund teams and Operations.

Presenting on new accounting standards and policies to Audit, Capital and Liquidity Committee

Engaging with wider Finance functions

Governance & Control

Oversight of operational accounting entries made by centralized functions. Ownership of additional local entries. Analytical review of movements and provide meaningful insights.

Production of monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting

All statutory and regulatory reporting

Cash and capital management

Responsibility for interim and year-end audits

Review the current processes, procedures and systems. Recommend improvements then document and implement them across the team.

Operational Functions

Reconciliation/review of key balance sheet accounts

Requirements:

Lead process improvements, tactical solutions and firm initiatives

Qualified accountant (preferable 5+ years post qualifications)

Confident, with the ability to deal with multiple internal clients

Highly organized, adherence to internal deadlines and appropriate escalation any issues

Self-starter, able to work independently whilst ensuring engagement with the wider finance team

Advanced excel skills
