Job Title: Financial Controller

Location: UK - Remote

Contract Type: Full-Time/Permanent

Key Responsibilities

Managing the financial controls and reporting for BibliU Campus Inc, this role reports to the VP Finance Campus

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts/financial statements for the BibliU Campus Inc
    • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and reporting
    • Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts
    • Identify financial trends and provide strategic insights
  • Accounting Operations
    • Prepare sales tax and property returns
    • Ensure accurate bank and balance sheet reconciliations
    • Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and general ledger
    • Implement and maintain robust financial systems and controls
  • Compliance and Audit
    • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and accounting standards
    • Coordinate and manage external audit processes
    • Develop and implement internal financial policies
    • Maintain high standards of financial record-keeping
  • Team Leadership
    • Manage and mentor the BibliU Campus Inc finance team
    • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
    • Provide guidance and support to team members
    • Coordinate cross-departmental financial activities

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Educational Requirements
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree
    • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
  • Technical Skills
    • Advanced proficiency in accounting software (Excel, Xero/Quickbooks, Netsuite, Fathom and similar)
    • Strong understanding of financial principles and procedures
    • Excellent financial analysis and forecasting capabilities
    • Comprehensive knowledge of international financial reporting standards

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in financial management including group consolidations
  • Proven track record in financial reporting and accounting
  • Experience in budgeting, financial planning, and strategic decision-making
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
