Job description

An international, consumer franchise business based in Central London is currently seeking a Financial Controller to join their UK team.

Reporting into the Head of Finance, this role will play a key role in ensuring financial compliance, reporting accuracy, and audit readiness across our UK operations.

  • Oversee monthly financial reporting for UK operations.
  • Manage UK cash flow forecasting and reporting models.
  • Support month end processes and provision of financial data to the group/ international finance teams.
  • Lead the end-to-end audit process for all UK entities and clinics.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders including auditors and accounting services.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial statements and tax returns.
  • Coordinate with legal advisors and regulatory bodies (Companies House, HMRC).
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams in London and Australia.
  • Engage with franchise partners on compliance, audit, and tax matters.
  • Develop and implement stronger financial control processes and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and compliance workflows.
  • Additional ad-hoc duties and project work, to support the wider team and business.
The ideal candidate will be qualified (ACA or similar), preferably having trained in audit (big 4/ top 10) with post-qualified experience working in industry. Candidates should have good working knowledge of financial controls, compliance and reporting - including understanding of International Accounting Standards and lease accounting. Prior experience working within the consumer sector, in a multi-site of franchise business would be highly beneficial, and candidates must have excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
