Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team in London. The Financial Controller will manage the financial operations of Viva.com, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. This role requires a strong understanding of the payments industry and the ability to thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
2. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including FCA requirements.
3. Act as the primary contact and foster strong relationships with the group finance team.
4. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to optimize performance.
5. Manage the preparation of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
6. Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and growth.
7. Monitor cash flow and liquidity to mitigate financial risks.
8. Coordinate with external partners such as auditors, tax advisors, and banking providers.
9. Utilize financial software and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
10. Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
11. Present complex financial information clearly to senior management and stakeholders.
12. Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets.
13. Review processes regularly and seek efficiency improvements, including leveraging AI solutions.
14. Identify repetitive tasks and implement AI tools to automate them.

Minimum Requirements:

• Recognized accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, preferably within the payments or fintech industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, especially FCA guidelines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., Microsoft Azure, ERP systems); working knowledge of PowerBI is a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
• High integrity and professionalism.
