Our client is a leading, award-winning international branding and design agency, partnering with some of the world’s most prestigious luxury brands. With offices in London, New York, and the Middle East, they are continuing their impressive global growth. We’re looking for a Financial Controller to join the London HQ and take ownership of finance operations across the UK, US, and Middle East. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a pivotal role ensuring robust financial reporting, strong internal controls, and operational alignment across multiple jurisdictions.

You’ll lead a small team, work closely with senior leadership, and play a key part in shaping the finance operations of a creative, ambitious business with plenty of scope for future progression into a more strategic leadership role.

What you’ll be doing:

Financial Operations and Control

Own and deliver the month-end close process across all entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial records. Prepare monthly management accounts with insightful commentary for senior leadership and the parent company. Maintain robust general ledger controls, reconciliations, and intercompany balance management. Ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAP across all jurisdictions.

Audit and Compliance

Lead the preparation and coordination of the group and statutory audits. Act as the primary contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and the parent company. Oversee lease accounting, VAT, and tax filings, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Cash Flow and Treasury

Develop and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts, monitoring liquidity and optimising intercompany funding.

Process Improvement and Systems

Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, documentation, and internal controls. Support the implementation and optimisation of finance systems and automation tools.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

Mentor and oversee junior finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability and development. Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Client Services, and HR to embed finance best practice throughout the business.

Ad Hoc and Strategic Support

Support the Finance Director and CFO on strategic initiatives, integration projects, and transformation programmes.

What we’re looking for:

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience in financial control or senior finance roles.

Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and consolidation, ideally gained in a multi-entity, international environment.

Experience in a creative, professional services, or agency setting is highly desirable.

Proven ability to manage audits, tax compliance, and internal controls.

Commercially aware and proactive, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Well-organised, detail-focused, and adaptable, able to thrive in a fast-moving, creative business.

A collaborative, hands-on team player with an improvement mindset.

Why join? This is an exciting opportunity to join a creative, ambitious, and growing international agency where you can make a real impact. You’ll work alongside a high-calibre leadership team, gain exposure to global operations, and help shape a finance function that enables the agency’s continued success.
