Financial Controller

Location: Lincoln

Salary: circa £55,000 - £65,000 plus bonus

Our clients are recruiting for an experienced Financial Controller for an award-winning Group. This is an exciting opportunity in an ever-expanding company. As the Financial Controller, you will support the senior finance leadership team in all areas of financial management.

The Role

  • Intercompany accounting transactions
  • Identifying and driving areas of continuous improvement and efficiency with a focus on the optimum use of systems and technology
  • Timely and accurate preparation of the UK management accounts, including board pack with analysis of variances
  • Submit quarterly VAT returns and provide guidance on VAT matters
  • Preparation of information to complete annual compliance, i.e., statutory accounts, tax computations
  • Preparation of product margin analysis and evaluation
  • Preparation of budgets and quarterly forecasts, and cash flows
  • Review of weekly payment runs
  • Development of costing models leading to improved operational performance and increased profitability
  • Support stock control as well as stock management policies and procedures and physical stock checks
  • Managing and mentoring direct reports
  • Ownership of the finance system
  • Use of Xero
Skills and Qualifications
  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA part or fully qualified
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Broad all-round experience, including transactional finance, team management, VAT, and systems
