The Role

Finatal has partnered with a Private Equity-backed international healthcare and medical devices business undergoing an exciting period of growth. With revenues exceeding £100m and a global footprint across Europe, the Middle East and Asia, the business is a recognised innovator within the medical aesthetics market.

Backed by a leading mid-market Private Equity investor, the company is seeking a high-calibre Financial Controller to professionalise the finance function, strengthen reporting capabilities and support the delivery of the investment thesis. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a highly visible role that will work closely with the leadership team and PE stakeholders, providing significant exposure to strategic initiatives and future transaction activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting processes, delivering insight to the CFO, leadership team and investors.
  • Own the monthly management accounts process, ensuring accurate and timely PE-quality reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement across financial reporting, controls and governance frameworks.
  • Manage statutory reporting, year‑end audits and relationships with external auditors and advisors.
  • Oversee international consolidations and ensure consistency of reporting across multiple legal entities.
  • Lead cash flow forecasting, working capital management and treasury activities.
  • Partner with commercial and operational stakeholders to drive profitability and performance improvements.
  • Support M&A activity, integration projects and commercial due diligence where required.
  • Enhance finance systems, reporting tools and automation initiatives to improve scalability.
  • Deliver board reporting, lender reporting and investor updates.
  • Build, mentor and develop a high‑performing finance team.

Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
  • Previous experience within a Private Equity-backed business.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Head of Finance or Finance Director within a growing organisation.
  • Strong technical accounting background combined with commercial acumen.
  • Experience operating within a multi‑entity and ideally international environment.
  • Track record of improving systems, controls and finance processes.
  • Exposure to M&A, integrations, refinancing or exit preparation is highly desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage with board‑level executives and investors.
  • Hands‑on, proactive and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
  • This is an exceptional opportunity to join a market‑leading healthcare business at a pivotal stage of its growth journey. The successful candidate will work closely with an experienced CFO and private equity sponsors, playing a key role in driving value creation and preparing the business for its next phase of growth.
