Job summary

Broster Buchanan are recruiting a hands-on Financial Controller for a market-leading manufacturing business near Gloucester. You will own day-to-day reporting, partner with the business and deliver commercial insights to support decision-making.

The role requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications, strong reporting and business partnering capability, and excellent communication to engage with senior stakeholders across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent with strong reporting and business partnering skills.
• Experience in manufacturing or operational environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly management accounts, variance analysis and KPIs.
• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes.
• Provide operational performance insight through financial reporting and business insight.
• Ensure statutory compliance and manage year-end audit.
• Collaborate to build data-driven standard costing for profitability.

Job description

Broster Buchanan are working with a market leading manufacturing organisation, based near Gloucester, to appoint a hands on and commercially minded Financial Controller.

As Financial Controller you will take ownership of the day-to-day reporting and support the wider business with accurate reporting, business partnering and commercial insight.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Oversee the end-to-end production of accurate monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and KPIs
• Lead the annual budgeting process and deliver robust, rolling financial forecasts
• Provide operational business performance improvement through the delivery of insightful financial reporting and business insight
• Ensure statutory compliance, managing the year-end audit process
• Partnered with business to build a data-driven standard costing model for market, customer profitability

The successful candidate will be ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA qualified or equivalent with strong reporting and business partnering skills within a manufacturing or operational environment. Excellent communication skills are essential as there is a requirement to work closely with multiple senior stakeholders.
