Core-Asset Consulting Ltd in Glasgow is recruiting an experienced Financial Controller for a 12-month contract. The role supports global compensation and benefits accounting, controls, and reporting, with a hybrid model (3 days in the office, 2 at home).

The Senior position requires qualified accounting, strong GAAP knowledge (International and US GAAP), and experience with monthly close, controls, and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of International and US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proven experience managing monthly financial close processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly financial close processes for deferred compensation.
• Oversee accounting and controllership activities for global compensation and benefits.
• Provide compensation analysis, forecasting and reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Support regulatory and statutory reporting across multiple entities.
• Maintain a strong control environment and manage audit/vendor relationships.
• Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Partner with Finance, HR and wider business teams on control and compliance initiatives.
• Drive process automation, system enhancements and continuous improvement.
• Provide subject matter expertise on complex compensation accounting matters.

We are recruiting for an experienced Financial Contoller to join our financial services client in Glasgow on a 12 month contract basis.Our client works a hybrid model: 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

This is a senior role will support financial accounting, control and reporting for global compensation and benefits.Previous compensation experience is not essential.

Skills/Experience:

• Qualified accountant or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of International and US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proven experience managing monthly financial close processes.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, risk and regulatory requirements.
• Experience handling complex accounting issues and working with senior stakeholders.
• Experience with process improvement, automation and systems enhancement.
• Experience managing or developing teams is advantageous.
