A recruitment agency is seeking a qualified Financial Controller for a media production client based in the United Kingdom. This mid-senior level position requires strong financial reporting skills and the ability to manage a team of 8. The successful candidate will review management accounts, prepare statutory accounts, and lead audit processes. The role involves attending senior meetings and implementing effective financial strategies. This is a full-time role located 4 days in the office and 1 day from home.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with experience in finance.
• Strong background in financial reporting ideally from media (production).
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage a team of 8 (qualified, non-qualified & manager).
• Review monthly management accounts ensuring variances are explained.
• Produce statutory accounts and lead the audit process.
• Prepare monthly group cash flow.
• Review and approve budgets.
• Attend Senior Leadership meetings to discuss performance.

Are you a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA looking for the next step in your career? Our client, a production business, is looking for someone to join their finance team as a Financial Controller.

The Opportunity

The business is ideally looking for someone who is qualified and currently working in the media industry.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing a team of 8 (qualified, non-qualified & manager)
• Reviewing the monthly management accounts, ensuring variances are explained in detail
• Production of statutory accounts and leading the audit process
• Preparing monthly group cash flow
• Reviewing and approving budgets
• Attending Senior Leadership meetings to discuss company performance and cost control
• Review and improving group policies
• Managing, motivating and success planning the team

About you:

• Qualified accountant
• Strong background in financial reporting ideally from media (production)
