A Lloyd’s broker is seeking a qualified accountant to join them as their Financial Controller.
Supervising a small team, the successful applicant will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts and quarterly financial statements, the biannual submission of the RMAR return to the FCA, client money calculations (CASS 5), submission of the group VAT return, PAYE and Corporation tax work, management of the internal control environment, and development of the team.
Applicants must be qualified accountants with relevant experience gained within an insurance broking, MGA, or MGU environment, have good working knowledge of CASS 5 and client money calculations, possess strong technical financial accounting skills and have proven team management experience.
