The role involves setting financial compliance, managing performance reporting, and developing cash flow forecasting. The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with financial services experience, supervising a high-performance team with autonomy over financial management.
Financial Controller required for a highly entrepreneurial Financial Services SME based in Chorley
Your new company
Your new company is a highly entrepreneurial financial advisory SME. Due to substantial growth over the last 3 years, they're now looking to recruit a first-time Financial Controller to lead their finance function.
Your new role
In your new role as Financial Controller you will take ownership of the monthly and weekly MI and management accounts in accordance with deadlines. You will set, manage and monitor all financial compliance whilst streamlining current processes. Development and progression of weekly and monthly cash flow forecasting and treasury processes. You will lead on the budgets and forecasts as required, including project cashflow forecasts. You will prepare the year-end statutory accounts and simple corporation tax computations. You will manage monthly, quarterly VAT/PAYE and other similar tax return routines.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with experience working within the Financial Services sector, ideally within financial advisory. You will have the ability to implement robust financial controls and have high level of attention to detail. You'll have the ability to present the monthly performance to the board and challenge where necessary.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of £60,000 plus benefits including a hybrid working model. You will join a highly ambitious senior leadership team and be given to autonomy to manage the finance function based on your experience.
