Reporting to: CFO

Elevation Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a leading manufacturing business to recruit a qualified Financial Controller on a 14-month fixed-term contract. This role will commence in August 2025 and offers the opportunity to join a dynamic and well-established finance function, taking ownership of UK financial operations and reporting directly to the CFO based overseas.

The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing the UK finance function, delivering robust financial reporting, and providing strategic support to operational leaders. You will ensure the integrity of financial processes, maintain strong financial controls, and drive efficiency and business performance through insightful analysis and collaboration across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full preparation of monthly management accounts and finance reporting packs (UK & North American format)
• Ownership of month-end routines, including stock reconciliations and balance sheet controls
• Cashflow forecasting and ongoing working capital management
• Present monthly financial information to the operational team to support performance improvement
• Manage invoice finance facility and associated reporting
• Lead the annual budgeting process and produce accurate P&L forecasts
• Maintain and update standard and ABC costs within the ERP system
• Support internal AP and invoice sign-offs
• Manage the external audit process and year-end financial procedures
• Ensure and enhance internal financial controls and develop KPI reporting
• Oversee insurance renewals and maintain stakeholder relationships (e.g., auditors, banks, brokers)
• Payroll oversight and final approval, liaising with external payroll providers
• Manage statutory and compliance responsibilities including Companies House filings, P11D, and PSA returns
• Deliver ad hoc reporting and analysis as required

Direct Reports:

• 2 x Accounts Assistants

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role with team management responsibilities
• Strong background in manufacturing or industrial sectors
• Proficient in ERP systems and advanced in Excel
• Commercially astute with strong business acumen
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
• Confident decision-maker with a proactive approach to improving financial processes
