Job summary

Extension Recruitment are delighted to partner with a leading international manufacturer to recruit a Financial Controller for the Chesterfield site. This is a senior finance leadership role focused on robust financial control, reporting accuracy and strategic insight to drive site performance.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the site finance function, work with operational and commercial teams, and steer budgeting, forecasting and governance to support profitable growth.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience as Financial Controller, Head of Finance or similar senior finance leadership position.
• Strong financial reporting, management accounting and financial control experience.
• Experience supporting operational and commercial decision making and leading finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Leading, developing and mentoring the finance team.
• Producing accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Managing budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Maintaining strong financial controls, governance and compliance.
• Providing financial analysis and commercial insight to support business performance.
• Driving profitability, cost control, cash flow and working capital improvements.
• Overseeing inventory controls, stock reconciliation and payroll support processes.

Extension Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a leading international manufacturing business to recruit a Financial Controller for their Chesterfield operation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader to join a well-established organisation that continues to invest in its people, processes and facilities. Working as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Finance Controller will play a pivotal role in driving business performance, providing strategic financial guidance, and supporting the continued success of the site.

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, the Financial Controller will lead the site finance function while partnering closely with operational, commercial and support teams. About You

We are looking for a qualified finance professional who combines strong technical capability with commercial awareness and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

As Financial Controller, you will ideally possess:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Previous experience in a Financial Controller, Head of Finance or similar senior finance leadership position.
• Strong financial reporting, management accounting and financial control experience.
• Proven experience supporting operational and commercial decision making.
• Experience leading, developing and mentoring finance teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
