Part-time Financial Controller wanted in Liverpool

About the role:

The role is to work with our client based in Chester. We are seeking an experienced fractional Financial Controller to support our client in their Retail business. They are a growing SME with the basics of the finance function covered but require a commercially minded individual to provide them with greater visibility around the financials and help them grow further.

About you:

You should be an experienced Financial Controller with experience working in growing SMEs. Preferably, you are already self-employed and available quickly with at least 2 days of availability per week.

Your expertise should include:

1. management accounts
2. balance sheet reconciliations
3. budgets, cashflow and profit forecasting
4. experience and working knowledge of Xero
5. experience of managing and leading a small team
6. experienced in assessing and implementing appropriate financial controls
7. year-end processes (but not statutory accounts)
8. experienced excel user including pivots, sumifs and graphs
9. proficiency in presenting financial and commercial information to non-financial leaders
10. you must be fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACMA/FCCA/ICAEW) or QBE (5+ years) with experience managing a finance team.

Rate of pay: £35 per hour

Location: Chester- Onsite 2 days p/week
