Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join a growing business and take ownership of all accounting, compliance, and treasury matters. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a hands-on role where you will manage a small finance team while ensuring the company's financial health and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting function, including financial statements, management accounts, and annual audits.
• Ensure full compliance with tax regulations, including corporation tax and VAT returns.
• Manage cash flow and optimise liquidity to maintain financial stability.
• Lead, support, and develop a small team to foster a high-performing culture.
• Implement and enhance financial systems, processes, and policies.
• Provide timely and accurate financial reporting and ad-hoc analysis for senior leadership.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to support decision-making and improve financial performance.

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
• Background in SME/growth environments, ideally with exposure to ecommerce and/or manufacturing.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with excellent analytical skills.
• Experienced leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and solutions-focused.
